I had a blast! It was my first class and it did not disappoint. Mike is very welcoming, friendly, and a great teacher. I will definitely be taking more classes with him.

Just wanted to give a shout out to instructor Mike and wife Kay for an another great year of burgers and bullets. This is my second year to attend and will be back. Great food and fun safe gun games. Seen old faces and some new ones. Thanks again for an awesome time.

I wasn't entirely sure I was ready for this event, but it turned out to be incredibly fun and just the right amount of challenge for a first-time competitor. I really appreciated how the instructors created a course that mimicked real life scenarios, which added a practical and authentic layer to the experience. Now, after going through this, I feel much more confident in my ability to pursue additional training and new challenges.

My husband and I have been taking lessons with Mike Pike. We appreciate Mike’s superior instruction and guidance. I can not rave about Downrange & Dialogue enough. I recently took the drawing from concealment 1 class and it was PHENOMENAL. Mike was precise, knowledgeable, safe, and explained directions and what he expected of me perfectly. He made training with my firearm so much fun without negating the seriousness of the responsibility of carrying a gun. I will most certainly be a repeat customer!

I recently took the Drawing From Concealment 1 class and was very impressed. Mike is very knowledgeable and is a great teacher. I didn�t expect to cover so much in a four hour class and there was never a dull moment. We had a blast! What I appreciated most about the class is how well he was able to assess my current skill level and teach me accordingly. He was very patient and the class didn�t feel rushed at all. Before we progressed to a more challenging skill he would ask how we felt before moving ahead and if we had any questions. Whether it was grip, trigger pull technique or whatever, he was constantly paying such close attention he was able to diagnose and correct the issue before moving forward. By no means was it all technical skills either. He constantly trained on the mindset and situational awareness associated with conceal carrying. There was a reason for everything he taught and he explained it so well. He went above and beyond and even stayed long after the class ended to answer questions and shoot more. (Note to self bring more ammo next time�) If you�re wanting to take your skills to the next level, I highly recommend Mike at Downrange and Dialogue. I can�t wait for the next class!

No one wants to use deadly force and taking the class gives a lot more insight to the laws and your responsibilities of being a CCW citizen. Truly enjoyed the class and the instructor was very informative in the content

I attended Downrange & Dialogue's Intro to the AR-15 class today. I was impressed with their safety plans which included a medical plan in case of emergency. Mike proceeded into a thorough review of the AR rifle which is very helpful for beginners. We then proceeded to the range, where we covered the proper disengaging and engaging of the safety during rifle usage and demonstration of sight/muzzle offset and how to overcome this in close quarters, as well as engaging primary, secondary and tertiary target areas for defensive scenarios. We discussed the proper method to reload our rifles and clear malfunctions during live fire while maintaining our firearms in a safe direction. This was followed by deliberate, controlled malfunction drills, with malfunctions being induced by the Instructor in a controlled manner. This encouraged the students to develop proficiency in clearing these stoppages, which can be confusing in a real defensive use for the untrained. We then moved to advancing on a target while maintaining accurate fire, followed by reversing away while still maintaining accuracy. We then ran a drill maneuvering around obstacles while maintaining appropriate rate of fire for accuracy, with emphasis on the reload and what to do. The final drill was moving around obstacles, switching to non-dominant hand with the rifle,engaging the target with accurate fire, switching back to dominant side and engaging a target at distance. The rubber hit the road on this drill and forced every student to face their places for improvement. I have taken multiple courses from various schools and am a former instructor myself. Downrange & Dialogue does a solid job of teaching the AR owner how to manipulate the rifle safely and effectively. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for quality training.

Being a prior infantryman in the Marine Corps, I felt as if there wasn't much new that I would learn from a simple CCW course. Boy, was I wrong! Mike Pike was an excellent instructor and really broke it down "Barney style" in a way that made sense to me and most importantly, I have retained. Definitely a class worth taking, full of knowledge that I wouldn't have taken to be in a CCW course. Would recommend to others for sure!
